Environmental & Sustainability Statement

Deuce Hotels Ltd is committed to reducing our environmental impact and to strive to continually improve our environmental performance, which we see as an integral part of our long-term business strategy and way we operate. We will continue to encourage our guests, suppliers, and all other stakeholders to do the same.

Our aims:

We will endeavour to.

  • Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Continually look for ways to reduce our environmental impact
  • Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions
  • Increase employee awareness and training

Our Commitments:

To deliver on our aims.

  1. Responsible development.
Through the core value of refurbishing existing and listed properties, rather than looking to demolish or build new, we believe we can have a huge influence on our environmental impact, before a guest has even stayed with us
  2. Utilise technology.
We embrace technology to automated the guest journey, from booking and arrival through to departure, with all communication and receipts send digitally. Our Bluetooth access technology means there are no plastic key cards or unnecessary waste
  3. Reduce wastage.
Our kitchenettes have fully washable items, no single use plastics, and minimal disposable items. We will always use refillable pump dispensed toiletries, rather than disposables. Where possible all paperwork is digitally held
  4. Considerate partnerships.
We only look to partner with suppliers who have the same commitment towards environmentally friendly practices and sustainable systems
  5. Heating, Cooling, Power and Water.
One of the biggest impacts we can have, is how we manage our heating, cooling, power and water systems. Each apartment has its own fully controllable efficient HVAC system. All public area lighting is motion sensor activated and there are low energy bulbs throughout. We have dual flush toilets in all our bathrooms to reduce unnecessary water use
  6. Learning & development.
By building on the skills and knowledge of our employees, we will look to actively impact our business, local community and environment
  7. Community.
We will look to engage with the local community, using local suppliers and trades where we can. Provide employment opportunities in the local area and engage with local charities and initiatives. Our commitment is to have a positive impact on our local surroundings

We recognise that as a new independent organisation, we are on a journey and as such will commit to evolving our environmental strategy along the way to do even more in the future.
